We are very happy to welcome all followers and initiated devotees of Paramahamsa Vishwananda in His Indian home, Shree Giridhar Dham Ashram in Vrindavan!
– Being a devotee means you have received initiation from a Swami or Swamini of Bhakti Marga.
Vrindavan is a very unique and special place. It is the heart of Krishna himself. It is the abode of Radharani herself. Staying in Vrindavan and serve in this place has a special meaning to deepen your love and bhakti, it is a great blessing.
Shree Giridhar Dham Ashram offers rooms for the devotees for short or long stay. When you come to the Ashram as a guest, you are traditionally invited to offer 3 hours seva daily under the guidance of a seva coordinator. It is your voluntary service, your offering to the Lord. It is not seen as work, thus you agree for receiving no material benefits for your service, i.e. reduction of price for accommodation.
Seva means ‘selfless service’. It is a way to open your heart and develop bhakti within yourself. When done from the heart, the focus moves away from reciprocity into the pure joy of selfless giving. Seva is one of the nine forms of Bhakti – Padasevana Bhakti. According to the Guru Gita, there is no difference between God and Guru, and so when we serve the Master and his mission, we are also serving the Supreme Lord Narayana Himself by allowing ourselves to be the instruments of His action.
Paramahamsa Vishwananda encourages all his devotees across the globe to undertake seva initiatives.
“People who have experienced the supreme, pure Divine Love, feel always the need to serve selflessly Giridhari, as He is their Beloved Lord.” – Paramahamsa Vishwananda

Accommodation in the Bhakti Marga Ashram Vrindavan
In the rooms of Shree Giridhar Dham you may stay alone (if there are not so many people in the ashram at the same time) or share with 1 to 7 more people in the room. The cost will be given for the room according to its size, so the more people you are sharing with, the lesser the price will be for each of you. Please, be aware that during the busy periods ashram will not provide rooms for one or two persons, you will have to share with other devotees.
Please, be aware that men and women are not allowed to stay together in one room in the ashram.
Shree Giridhar Dham Ashram has no capacity to provide the food for the guests yet. Only devotees, who come for the long term seva, can eat in the Ashram itself.
There are possibilities to eat outside: in the Jiva Institute, which is located next door, or restaurants nearby. The price for each meal in the Jiva Institute is 250 rupees per meal, in a restaurant it will vary depending on what you are ordering.
All the guests of Shree Giridhar Dham are asked to have valid medical insurance. We are also asking you to take care about your personal medications and let us know beforehand in case you have any diseases, which can limit your activities.
We are ready to consult you about how to get an appropriate Indian Visa to visit the Ashram.
