Traces of Mahavatar Babaji are present throughout the sacred Himalayas—through his disciples, the Kriya yogis, and the living parampara that continues to guide sincere seekers. For many, these mountains are not just a place to visit, but a space where one can more easily feel the Divine presence and turn within.

Known since ancient times as Dev Bhumi—the Land of the Gods—the Himalayas carry a special vibration. In the simplicity of nature, away from distraction, the heart naturally becomes quiet. The mountains, rivers, and silence support the mind in letting go, creating space for prayer, remembrance, and a deeper connection with the Divine.

Under the guidance of Swamini Prabhaavati, this journey unfolds through sacred places—caves, temples, and sites connected to the masters. Together, we will practise Atma Kriya Yoga, not only as a technique, but as a way to deepen our relationship with God.

Step by step, this becomes sadhana—an offering of the heart, a turning towards the Divine, and an opportunity to receive Guru Kripa.

The Programme

Badrinath — The Abode of Eternity

Journey into the high Himalayas to Badrinath Temple, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
After a trek to Vishnupad—believed to bear the footprint of the Divine—and a walk through the valley beneath the majestic Mount Neelkanth, we approach the temple for darshan.
Pilgrims may also take a purifying dip in the natural hot springs, traditionally held to carry sacred significance.

Joshimath, Narayana's winter abode

The name translates to 'Abode of Light'. This is one of the four monasteries established by the great Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. In Joshimath stands the ancient Narasimha Temple, one of the 108 sacred places of the Vaishnavas (Divya Desams). The murti of Narasimha was installed by Adi Shankaracharya himself.

Babaji Cave

Enter the sacred silence of the cave associated with Mahavatar Babaji—a place revered as the site where he initiated Lahiri Mahasaya into Kriya Yoga, marking the revival of this ancient path for the modern age.
Here, amidst stillness and simplicity, we will practice Atma Kriya Yoga, allowing the atmosphere itself to deepen inner awareness and connection.

Babaji's Tree

Sit in quiet reflection beneath the tree traditionally associated with Mahavatar Babaji, where he has met seekers and guided sincere aspirants. This is a place not of spectacle, but of subtle presence—inviting contemplation, receptivity, and inward listening.

Meet Saints

Spend time in the presence of sadhus and seekers who walk the path of devotion and discipline.Through shared stories, lived experience, and quiet association, receive glimpses of the living spiritual current connected to Mahavatar Babaji and the Himalayan tradition.

GUIDE

SWAMINI PRABHAAVATI

Swamini Vishwaprabhaavati Mata first met Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda in August 2012 at Shree Peetha Nilaya, his ashram in Germany. From that very first encounter, she felt a deep inner calling to serve and became actively engaged in seva across various areas of the mission.

From her heart, she recognised in Swami Vishwananda’s unconditional love, teachings, and divine mission the very path she had long been seeking.

In October 2015, she was formally initiated as a Swamini by Swami Vishwananda and entrusted with the responsibility of expanding his mission in Spain. In the years that followed, this service naturally extended to several Spanish-speaking countries across Latin America.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY:

Padmakshya Dasi

'Going to the Himalayas had always felt like a distant dream for us.

Year after year, we heard others speak about Babaji’s Cave and the deep peace they experienced there. We often wondered when our turn would come.

When it finally did, it was everything we had hoped for and more. The snowcapped peaks, the silence, the vastness — all of it naturally drew the mind inward.

Standing inside the cave of Mahavatar Babaji was unforgettable. There was a stillness and presence that cannot be described, only felt. Guided throughout with such care, each place became an opportunity to connect more deeply.

These days in the mountains left a quiet but lasting impact within us.'

Kaushalya

'Our journey began with a visit to Mouni Ma, a devotee of Neem Karoli Baba whose presence could still be felt strongly in her temple. Sitting in her prayer room, many of us were deeply moved.

As we continued through the Himalayas, each place carried its own unique energy. The trek to Atri Muni Ashram, connected to Mata Anusuya, was especially powerful — grounding and filled with quiet strength.

Alongside the sacred sites, it was the shared experience that made it so special — walking together, supporting one another, and simply being present.

Looking back, everything felt guided, as if by the grace of Mahavatar Babaji.

These days will stay with us, not just as memories, but as something deeply felt within.'
