Memories From: Vrindavan Leela and Jaipur 2016
… “Because Krishna, His name, form, pastimes and remembrance are all on the absolute plane, to search for Him at Vrindavan in pure God consciousness gives more pleasure to the devotee than seeing Him face to face.” Brahma-samhita (5.38)
Vrindavan is a place, where stories of Radha and Krishna’s pastimes are imprinted and emanated from every corner, every tree and every site. These stories speak of nothing else but of the eternal relation between the soul (represented by Radha and the Gopis) and its Supreme Beloved (Sri Krishna). When we enter Vrindavan, we actually come to the realm of the Soul and we experience the infinite love of Sri Krishna, the love of God for us. We enter His eternal Lila and receive a chance to become part of it. That is why Vrindavan was chosen by Guruji as a constant place of his pilgrimages and place where he built one of his most special Ahsrams – Shree Giridhar Dham.
This very special pilgrimage started with the Atma Kriya Yoga retreat – for the first time in India! The main teacher of the Atma Kriya retreat – Rishi Tulsidasananda – conducted numerous satsangs and our practices were taking place on the banks of Yamuna river, at Vrinda Kunda – where we all had the most joyful holy bath in our lives – and other most beautiful and auspisiuos places.
After visiting Vraj we traveled to the city of Jaipur – famous religious centre of India, also known as Chhoti Kashi (small Varanasi). Some of the famous temples in Jaipur which we visited with Gurudev for the first time were Govind Dev Ji Temple, Gopinath ji temple and Madan Mohan ji temple.
For all Vaishnavas the most important is Govind Devji Temple. Lord Krishna’s murti in the temple looks exactly like Krishna looked during His incarnation on Earth. The deity originally belonged to Srila Rupa Goswami who was a disciple of Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
